Fuck you Wii. You piece of garbage.
The fucking Wii is a piece of shit. Apparently when Wii Connect-24 (The cool-guy feature that keeps your Wii on the internet 24 hours a day) is enabled, your Wii is still technically on, albeit using minimal power. The fucking problem is that if a Gamecube memory card is plugged in while this ‘feature’ is on, the memory card gets overheated and can has a high chance to become corrupted. Well check this. My memory card is corrupted, and guess who didn’t make a back up. My naive ass. “Oh, the memory card is a first party Nintendo product, no worries.” Sheesh.
So this essentially means that all of the Gamecube data I’ve had since circa 2004 is all lost. Probably around a thousand hours of playtime, gone. Damn. I know it’s something most people would shrug off as a stupid thing to get upset about, but I know some of you feel my pain.
